What is visualization? Visualization is a directed form of thinking and imagination. What we visualize or imagine, we eventually accept into our mind as reality. We can therefore create and determine the reality of our lives according to what we actually choose to imagine or see. There are different types of visualization but for our purposes we will simplify the process and theory by bringing them all together under the heading of relaxed and directed imagination.

The more relaxed we are, the more our subconscious mind allows in and learns. The more relaxed we are, the more we can actually visualize and imagine. Since the main resultant effect of hypnosis is a deep relaxed state, we find visualization to be a very effective tool in changing negative behaviors and habits or creating new realities for the individual.

When one is deeply relaxed and allows the mind to follow images that are of a positive nature, the images will eventually appear as a reality for the individual. If however, we allow negative images to filter in and overtake our thinking, these images as well will eventually become reality.

Hypnosis provides a tool to direct positive images in such a way as to overtake the negative and strengthen the thought/image/immune system.

1. Desire: You must truly want it.
2. Belief: You must believe it is possible for you.
3. Acceptance: You must be willing to accept that the situation will happen, and it will benefit you.

Albert Einstein felt that the most important aspect of intelligence was the ability to use imagery and the imagination. In fact, many great scientists, artists, mystics, and healers used the skill of visualization while in a receptive alpha state to "receive" pictures of inventions, great works of music and art, scientific insights, and so on. He often said "Imagination is more important than knowledge.Knowledge is limited. Imagination encircles the world".
